We invite you to a Community Conversation around The Effects of Blue Cross/Blue Shield Stoppages on LLMSW Services on Friday, July 10 from noon to 1 pm
Blue Cross/Blue Shield, one of the U.S.’s largest health care providers, recently announced that it will cease covering mental health services provided by Limited License social workers beginning in March of 2027. This will create barriers for many mental health care professionals who are working toward full licensure, as well as those who are receiving services from these mental health care professionals. This also may have an impact on the way insurance companies approach coverage at large. Whether you have personal ties to this issue or are curious to learn more, please join us to discuss what this may mean for our communities.
Join us as we practice curiosity, challenge assumptions, and grow together in community.
This is a time for conversation – to share feelings, raise concerns, and talk together as a school community. To aid the conversation, space will be limited.
About Community Conversations. Community Conversations can be called by anyone in our community. They are designed to help us come together to talk about things that matter. They invite us to consider different perspectives and ideas - even when we disagree. We try to keep them small, since our hope is to explore restorative dialogue and build community, creating a space where we are all teachers and learners. We will draw heavily on practices from intergroup dialogue and restorative justice.
After registering, you will be added to a calendar invite with a Zoom link.
