In a world of constant notifications, endless scrolling, and nonstop information, many people feel overwhelmed by the emotional weight of the digital age. Doom scrolling and the pressure to always stay connected can contribute to stress, anxiety, burnout, and emotional exhaustion. This conversation will explore how social media and digital overload shape our mental health, relationships, and well-being. Together, we hope to reflect on our relationship with technology and how to create healthy boundaries in an always-online world. We welcome multiple perspectives and encourage thoughtful, respectful dialogue as we navigate these shared experiences.
About Community Conversations. Community Conversations can be called by anyone in our community. They are designed to help us come together to talk about things that matter. They invite us to consider different perspectives and ideas - even when we disagree. We try to keep them small, since our hope is to explore restorative dialogue and build community, creating a space where we are all teachers and learners. We will draw heavily on practices from intergroup dialogue and restorative justice.
