In today’s world, people are constantly flooded with information from news outlets, social media platforms, influencers, podcasts, and online communities. As trust in traditional media continues to shift and more individuals rely on social media for information, many are left asking: Who can we trust? How do we know what is true? And how does the information we consume shape our beliefs, relationships, and ability to think critically?
This conversation is about creating a space to explore how information shapes the way we see ourselves, others, and the future of our world. We encourage thoughtful reflection, curiosity, and respectful dialogue across perspectives as we discuss the influence of media on daily life, mental well-being, misinformation, public trust, and critical thinking in the digital age.
About the format. With these smaller Community Conversations, our hope is to explore restorative dialogue and build community, creating a space where we are all teachers and learners. We will draw heavily on practices from intergroup dialogue and restorative justice.
