We invite you to a Community Conversation around Let’s Talk: The War in Iran on Monday, March 30 at 5 PM EST.
As global events are unfolding right before our eyes, there are many uncertainties, emotions, and questions that come up. Anxiety and fear grows from constant news coverage, leaving individuals and families looking for coping strategies during these difficult times. The war right now in Iran is not only a geopolitical issue, but it also has a great impact on how we feel, think, and collectively relate to each other as a community. During times like these, it can be difficult to have spaces to process, talk, and reflect beyond what we are constantly exposed to on a daily basis on the news and social media. This conversation is an opportunity to come together as a community, ask questions, share our thoughts, and support each other.
About the format
With these smaller Community Conversations, our hope is to explore restorative dialogue and build community, creating a space where we are all teachers and learners. We will draw heavily on practices from intergroup dialogue and restorative justice.
