We invite you to a Community Conversation around The Intersection of Domestic Violence and Homelessness.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. One aspect of domestic violence is financial abuse and many survivors face homelessness as a result. Let's talk about the intersection of homelessness and domestic violence in our community. This is the second in a three part community conversation discussion series about domestic violence. You are invited to attend a single session or as many as you would like.
This is a time for conversation – to share feelings, raise concerns, and talk together as a school community.
About the format
With these smaller Community Conversations, our hope is to explore restorative dialogue and build community, creating a space where we are all teachers and learners. We will draw heavily on practices from intergroup dialogue and restorative justice.
