The School of Social Work Building (SSWB) is located at 1080 South University Ave, at the corner of South University and East University. It sits on the southeastern edge of Central Campus, making it easily accessible by both U-M Magic Bus (campus transit) and AAATA (TheRide) city buses. Distance to SSWB: About a 5-6 minute walk (~0.3 miles) straight south across the Diag or down East University Ave.
Why it works: This is the main transit hub for Central Campus. Almost every major U-M campus bus stops here. If you're commuting from North Campus, the Medical Campus, or off-campus commuter lots, you'll most likely drop off here.

South University & East University Stops — Closest Overall
Location: Directly outside or within a block of the School of Social Work building.
Distance to SSWB: Less than a 1-minute walk.
Why it works: If you're using the city bus system (TheRide) or specific campus shuttles, these stops drop you off right near the building.
Key AAATA Routes: Routes that loop through South University, including Route 5, Route 6, and local neighborhood lines connecting to the Blake Transit Center downtown.
Oxford Housing / Geddes Ave Stops — Best for Southeast Commuters
Location: Geddes Ave or Oxford Road, near the Oxford Housing complex.
Distance to SSWB: A 7-10 minute walk.
Why it works: Convenient if you live in the southeastern campus housing areas (like Oxford or the Arb neighborhood) or take specific commuter paths.
