At Dearborn Pastoral Counseling Center we offer a choice of faith-based or secular counseling services to our clients at a cost consistent with their ability to pay, serving everyone with care, compassion and respect. DPCC provides services with a sliding fee scale and has a Client Aid Fund, supported by donations from individuals in the community, that can cover the cost of treatment for those with a serious financial hardship.

About the Role:
The Dearborn Pastoral Counseling Center (DPCC) has a unique opportunity for a part-time Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Mental Health Therapist. DPCC is a 501 (c) non-profit that has been providing faith-based and secular mental health services since 1984. In 1984, a group of local ministers were concerned with the high demands on their time for counseling with members of their congregations and that they were encountering individuals who were seeking assistance that the ministers felt were beyond their abilities to effectively address. We were established as a result of their initiative.
Current hours of the agency are Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm; and Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Applicants for the Mental Health Therapist should be an LMSW or LPC, credentialed with insurance companies, and have a minimum of 3 years experience in providing outpatient mental health services. Credentialing with Medicare is extremely important. We will consider individuals who are not currently credentialed with insurance companies, however, a successful candidate must commit to completing the credentialing process. These stated minimum requirements are very firm. We offer competitive remuneration and a supplemental payment opportunity for some insurance payments.
