This program is intended for:

Psychology doctoral students (clinical or counseling) applying to internships internships in 2027 or later
MSW students in clinical social work, currently in their 1st or 2nd year of training

This immersive three-day program is designed to enhance awareness among doctoral students in clinical or counseling psychology, MSW students, and early-career social workers who are seriously considering a career as an active-duty behavioral health provider in the Army, Air Force, or Navy. Participants will learn about military culture, application requirements, job opportunities, and professional responsibilities directly from active-duty behavioral health officers, training directors, and military leaders. This program offers an exciting opportunity to explore this career pathway and network with peers who share similar professional goals.

The course is:
No cost: There is no registration fee to attend. Lodging expenses are covered for the duration of the course (for those residing more than 50 miles from Bethesda, MD). Participants are responsible for their own travel, meals, parking, and incidentals.
Hosted at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, located in Bethesda, MD.
Designed for students who are seriously considering applying for military psychology internships or military social work positions in the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force.
This intensive program will strengthen students’ backgrounds in military behavioral health, as they gain first-hand knowledge of military culture, the work of behavioral health providers serving in uniform, and evidence-based strategies to treat active duty service members
