We are looking for two compassionate, skilled, and culturally competent Clinical Social Workers to join our team, one based at our Detroit location, and one at a brand-new facility in Hazel Park.

Position Summary:
The Mental Health Therapist provides general outpatient psychotherapy services, primarily individual therapy with some limited group therapy. The program primarily serves adults including those who identify as LGBTQ+ and individuals dealing with chronic illnesses including HIV. The Behavioral Health Program collaborates with medical, dental and support services when applicable. The Hazel Park based position may also include a partial focus on addressing behavioral health needs of first responders.
Ideal candidates will have strong clinical skills, experience working with LGBTQ+ clients and persons of color, and a background in trauma-informed, client-centered care. LMSW preferred, LLMSW eligible with relevant experience.

Location: Detroit or Hazel Park, Michigan

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments using interviews, case histories, observations, and appropriate clinical tools.
- Select, administer, and interpret assessments within scope of licensure to evaluate client functioning and inform diagnosis.
- Develop individualized, strengths-based treatment plans tailored to client needs, interests, and goals.
- Provide psychotherapy to assist clients in understanding challenges, developing coping strategies, and achieving therapeutic goals.
- Educate clients on the benefits of counseling and provide referrals to specialists or community resources as appropriate.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including behavioral health clinicians, medical providers, consulting psychiatrists, case managers, and support programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records in accordance with professional standards, agency policies, and billing requirements.
- Complete insurance and reimbursement documentation as required.
- Adhere to all applicable standards of care, including the Michigan Public Health Code, Michigan Mental Health Code, and relevant professional ethical standards.
