About the Role:
The School Social Worker (SSW) plays a vital role in improving educational outcomes for students with disabilities by providing assessment, intervention, and consultation within a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework. Services are delivered in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE), and Kent ISD guidance.
The SSW collaborates with school teams to support students in their Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) and provides direct and consultative services aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans.
