About Student Advocacy Center of Michigan:
Students have a right to learn — no matter what. The Student Advocacy Center of Michigan helps students in grades K-12 stand up for their rights when they are suspended, expelled, denied special education support, or faced with racism or some other barrier at school. By working together, we can make sure students get the support they need to succeed.

About the Role:
Education justice advocacy organization seeks a full-time passionate, knowledgeable Education Advocate, committed to elevating youth and family voice, collaborating with the schools, providing trauma-informed care and ending school pushout practices. This advocate will provide support through our statewide helpline and hold a small caseload for direct advocacy support. Our staff is committed to ongoing learning about other cultures, reducing power imbalances, dismantling oppressive behaviors that show up in ourselves and systems, and working in partnership with those whose voices too often go unheard.

Compensation: Starting $45,500 for a bachelors and $49,500 for a masters based on experience and degree.
