About OCD Institute of Texas:
OCDI Texas is a leader in expert clinical care and treatment of severe anxiety disorders, OCD, and OC related disorders. We specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a particular emphasis on Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, in addition to other evidence-based interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Our clinic specializes in treating adults, adolescents, children, and families with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive spectrum disorders, phobias, and
common co-occurring disorders such as major depression and PTSD. OCDI Texas is one of the country’s only OCD and anxiety specific programs that offers multiple levels of specialized care including residential, PHP, and outpatient treatment.
About the Fellowship:
The social work fellowship is a rigorous and intensive one-year training program. A second year advanced fellowship is optional upon invitation to extend. Fellows will learn the fundamentals of using CBT to complete assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for a variety of mental health conditions with a diverse patient population across the lifespan. Fellows are a part of the clinical team at OCDI, carry an outpatient caseload, and conduct group and family therapy for our intensive treatment programming. Several hours a week are dedicated to formal
training such as didactics, individual and group supervision, observation, etc. The fellowship is ideal for candidates seeking an intensive, high-quality training experience that will be challenging and will support their growth as a budding clinician.
Duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for outpatient
caseload
● Use of CBT in case conceptualization and treatment, both fundamental and advanced applications
● Complete video assessments and care coordination as part of the admissions team
● Plan, implement and lead treatment groups and therapeutic
activities in the residential program
● Lead family therapy sessions and all clinical responsibilities related to overseeing a family therapy caseload across all levels of care;
● Support residential patients with one-on-one ERP coaching.
● Oversee ERP blocks as part of intensive programming
● Engage in administrative and operations duties for OCDI TX as needed including community outreach
● Engage in program meetings.
● Attend all trainings, didactics, individual and group supervision sessions and meetings
Qualifications:
● Master’s degree in social work (MSW, MSSW) from a graduate
college or school of social work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE)
● Concentration in clinical social work with an interest in the clinical application of CBT and working with an anxiety/OCD population
● LMSW from the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council
(BHEC) before summer/fall of 2026
