Trauma Therapist Job Description
Position Overview: Embodied Wellness, PLLC is seeking a full-time trauma and anxiety therapist. Therapists are W2 employees and will service adolescents and/or adults with a focus on treating trauma, anxiety and depression with a mind-body approach. They must be committed to providing high quality care to our clients, be motivated to continue their education in trauma healing, and work to promote the growth of Embodied Wellness, PLLC through one community vendor event per year.

Reports to: Sarah Rollins, LMSW, SEP; Owner.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a full-time clinical caseload, completing 23 appointments per week.
Perform telehealth clinical counseling services to clients of Embodied Wellness, PLLC in accordance with company policies and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed.
Respond to patients’ and stakeholders within 24 business hours
Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
Abide by all insurance contracts expectations including, but not limited to: documentation guidelines set by insurance companies, completing documentation within 48 hours per insurance contracts, coordinating care with primary care physicians, and complying with insurance audits.
Attend all mandatory meetings
Attend at least one community engagement event in-person per year (if living within 1 hour of events)
Engage in anti-racism and anti-oppression work.
Skills and Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling from an accredited institution. Must hold an active full or limited license to practice in the State of Michigan, as recognized by the LARA system. A copy of the license must be submitted upon hire. We employ the following: Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Master’s in Clinical Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP), and Limited Licensed Master’s in Clinical Social Work (LLMSW)
Must reside in the State of Michigan.
Completion of, or commitment to begin upon hire, advanced somatic trauma training (e.g., Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, etc.).
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience treating trauma and/or anxiety in adults or adolescents. Strong field placement experience will be considered for exceptional candidates.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to anti-racist values and is actively engaged in practices that promote equity, inclusion, and cultural humility in clinical work and professional relationships.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, professional boundaries, and well-developed interpersonal skills.
Equipped for telehealth services, including a confidential workspace, stable internet connection, and necessary technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Established CAQH profile and individual credentialing with BCBS PPO
Familiarity with Simple Practice or similar electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Flexibility to offer some evening or weekend availability to meet client needs.
An existing referral network or recognizable presence in the mental health community is a plus.
Work Environment:
Fully Remote: This is a telehealth position. Clinical services, meetings, and supervision are conducted virtually.
Community Engagement: Participation in one in-person community event per year is required (for team members living within one hour of event locations).
Compensation and Benefits:
Earning Potential: Compensation is based on a flat rate for a full-time caseload of 23 client sessions per week; earn between $71,760 and $95,680 or more!
