Position Summary
Crossroads Counseling is seeking a full-time, in-person therapist with a focus on children and families. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and be comfortable integrating Christian principles into therapy when requested by the client. This position is well-suited for a licensed professional experienced in faith-informed care, including counseling from a Biblical worldview.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with families, schools, and other care providers as needed
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and supervision
Incorporate faith-based principles into sessions when aligned with client goals
Deliver care that is respectful of and consistent with the mission and values of Crossroads Counseling
Qualifications
Master’s degree or Doctorate in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
Fully licensed (preferred) in the State of Michigan ( LPC, LLP, LP, LMSW, LMFT, etc.)
Minimum five years of experience
Clinical experience with children and adolescents
Play Therapy certification (preferred)
Strong therapeutic skills, empathy, and a collaborative spirit
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Understanding of and ability to operate within a faith-integrated counseling model
Note: While we serve clients from a range of backgrounds, the ability to respectfully and appropriately incorporate Christian principles into counseling, when requested by clients, is a central part of this role.
