Description
Child and Family Therapist
Norway, Michigan
Looking for compassionate, fully licensed LMSW, LPC, LMFT, Full-Time candidates (Infant Mental Health endorsement preferred but not required) who are inspired, creative, and flexible to join our community to bring supports and services to our littlest ones and beyond, and their families (ages prenatal to 18, with emphasis on pre-natal to 6). This opportunity is located in our unique and beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Members of the team, with our collective gifts and areas of interest, will support organic[1] growth of our shared vision and mission.
We are community organizing to build up more than a group therapy practice; we are building a social enterprise to pour into our most vulnerable relationships in our society starting with the littlest (the babes) and their primary caregivers to do everything we can to change the tides, build stronger connections, nurture hearts that have been hurt and broken, and bridge gaps. Relationships are sacred and we know people need to experience connection in order to grow and find their purpose. Part-time and Full-time position opportunities are flexible based on applicant’s individual calling and purpose and require a 2-year commitment. Position will be W-2 salaried. Employees will be supported to “own” their specialities and skills as part of the group practice, maintain their licensure and qualifications, and at the same time, share their talents and skills as part of the therapeutic team, under the structure of the organization.
Responsibilities are to:
Provide relationship-based, trauma-informed treatment through building relationships with children and families to increase connections in themselves, their families, and their community. - Work with office manager to receive referrals, schedule, complete, and timely document clinical assessments.
Design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment. - Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
Document findings of patient progress.
Modify the plan of care as needed.
Seek consultation and collaborate with community providers as appropriate and necessary.
Work together with the patient's family/caregiver informing of findings, setting treatment goals, reviewing progress, and facilitating positive endings.
Assist with patient discharge from therapy services as well as provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment support programs.
Oversee the care provided by designated individuals according to established regulations, practice standards and the NASW Code of ethics.
Other duties determined by organization and supervisor.
