Weiser Faculty Grants

The Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia (WCEE) seeks proposals for research projects from faculty affiliates of WCEE and its centers: the Center for Russia, East European, and Eurasian Studies (CREES); Center for European Studies (CES); and Copernicus Center for Polish Studies (CCPS).
CGIS Faculty-Led Programs

CGIS works closely with U-M faculty members to conceptualize, design, and implement study abroad programs. We offer a range of opportunities to teach abroad on short-term programs during the spring & summer.
Global Course Connections (GCC)
Deadline: mid-February
GCC programs are 3-4 week-long extensions of courses taught on campus during winter term. If your proposal is accepted, the Center for Global and Intercultural Study provides support on various fronts such as making logistical arrangements (housing, classroom rental, excursions), helping coordinate responses to medical situations, and more.

African Heritage and Humanities Initiative for U-M Faculty
Deadline: mid-March
The African Heritage and Humanities Initiative is making funds available to support collaborative research projects being undertaken by co-PIs at the University of Michigan and an African institution of higher learning and/or knowledge production. These grants are intended to support scholarship produced by U-M’s faculty in the arts, humanities and interpretive social sciences whose work illuminates the dynamic, contested process by which African cultures and histories are made.
Center for Global Health Equity Impact Accelerator Grants
Deadline: mid-October and mid-March
CGHE Impact Accelerator Grants support projects that mobilize novel ideas and collaborations to help people live healthier and longer lives. This grant program supports co-designed projects that have been developed with a global partner. Preference will be given to proposals that pursue action-oriented projects focused on designing, piloting, or testing solutions that improve health outcomes for people in low- and middle-income countries contexts (that is, moving beyond conceptualizing problems or defining/studying research questions).
