Kaitlin P. Ward is a PhD student in the Joint Program in Social Work and Developmental Psychology. Her research focuses on family wellbeing and child maltreatment. More specifically, she examines the effects of family transitions and family relations on child outcomes, and the effects of trauma and corporal punishment on mental health outcomes. Within these interests, Kaitlin primarily studies impoverished, oppressed, and understudied samples, and uses advanced statistical techniques to elucidate disparities in children's outcomes.
