Jiaan Zhang is a PhD candidate in the joint Doctoral Program in Social Work and Political Science. Her primary interests are in gerontology, with an emphasis on issues related to long-term care. Her research includes rebalancing long-term care systems, health services utilization among older adults, and local governance of elderly welfare services with a comparative perspective. She is also involved in the study of the well being of older adults in contemporary china.
