He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Social Work and Sociology. He has worked with a number of nonprofit human service organizations in SE Michigan and the Chicago area, and is examining the role of nonprofit human service organizations in the contemporary social safety net and their relationship to public and for-profit institutions.
