Gina Ambrogio, MSW '15, is a licensed clinical social worker who completed her undergraduate and graduate education at the University of Michigan. She focuses on interpersonal practice with children and adults, including individual, family and group therapy. In her professional career, she is driven by her commitment to serving children and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. She is diligent in implementing compassionate, trauma-informed care that honors the dignity and worth of the person served while promoting the development of communication skills, enhanced safety strategies, reductions in unsafe behaviors such as self-injury or aggression, and an overall improved quality of life for the individual and family. In addition to her career in social work, Ambrogio is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She previously served on the board of directors for the Michigan Behavior Analysis Providers Association, a professional organization that promotes access to high-quality autism services throughout Michigan. As an educator, Ambrogio is dedicated to empowering students while strengthening their clinical skills and application of social justice practices.
