Candace Ziglor holds a Doctor of Social Work from Simmons University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto, with a concentration in individual, group, and family practice with children and families. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where she supports dental students in developing person-centered care approaches and strong interpersonal communication skills. In the student dental clinic, Dr. Ziglor provides real-time coaching to enhance provider–patient interactions and identify opportunities for needs-based interventions. Prior to her academic appointment, she worked as a school-based clinical therapist for a community mental health organization, delivering crisis intervention and therapeutic services within the Detroit Public Schools Community District. Dr. Ziglor is also the founder of A to Z Counseling & Consulting, where she offers clinical consultation, professional training, and mental health services to individuals and organizations.
