Joan King received her Master's Degree in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a certified clinical specialist in adult psychiatric mental health nursing. She joined the staff of the National Council in 2012 as a senior integration consultant, and focuses on the integration of primary care and behavioral health through consultation with provider and state organizations. In addition she coordinates and conducts the Case Management to Care Management training and other trainings that support integration. Prior to joining the staff of the National Council, she wrote a report for the Pennsylvania Health Funders Collaborative: Bringing Together Physical and Behavioral Care: An Exploration of Current Practice and Future Directions in Pennsylvania.
