Born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI. Attended Hope College for undergrad; GVSU for grad school. Experience working in residential treatment facility for teens in Grand Rapids. From August 2006 to June 2008 worked as Unversity Counselor for small university in western New York. International social work experience in Jamaica and Kenya.
