Anne Mondro is an artist and Associate Professor in the University of Michigan (UM) Stamps School of Art & Design. Partnering with the UM Geriatric Center’s Mild Memory Loss programs, she has designed courses, programming, and a research study focusing on creative aging. Mondro has presented at the Art of Good Health and Wellbeing conference in Sydney (2013), Life With Dementia 2014: Relations in Sweden, 2015 National Center for Creative Aging and the 2015 Aging in America conference. Her current research study Retaining Identity: Creativity for Caregivers is examining the feasibility of an art intervention for persons with memory loss and their caregivers. Her artwork has been shown nationally and internationally including exhibitions at Ceres Gallery in NYC, the Powerhouse Museum of Science and Design in Sydney, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
