Adam Marks is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS). In addition to his role as attending on both the adult and pediatric inpatient palliative care consult services, he serves Medical Director of Arbor Palliative Care, a community-based palliative care program. He is a Faculty Ethicist for the UMHS Ethics Committee, and in 2015 was appointed Associate Director of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship. His clinical interests include symptom management at the end of life; clinical ethics; and effective communication around goals of care and advanced care planning.
