Alana LeBron, post doctoral fellow in the Health Behavior and Health Education Department at the University of Michigan School of Public Health works with the Healthy Environments Partnership to understand and address social and environmental influences on racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic inequities in cardiovascular disease risk through a community-based participatory research (CBPR) approach. Her dissertation applied a mixed-methods approach to examine the influence of racialization, immigration sentiments and immigration policies on health for Latinos in the U.S.
