Professor Katie Edwards has received the Association for Women in Psychology (AWP) Christine Blasey Ford Woman of Courage Award. The committee unanimously selected Edwards in recognition of her “courage in fighting the devastating cuts for psychological research, among other acts of good trouble.”
“I am deeply honored to receive this award, but it truly reflects the extraordinary work of my staff, students and community partners who show up every day to support minoritized youth and families,” said Edwards. “It also reflects the courage and leadership of the feminist scholars and advocates who came before us and made this work possible. I am grateful to the communities who trust us to walk alongside them in efforts to prevent violence and promote healing and well-being.”
