Associate Professor Lisa Fedina spoke with NBC’s WOOD TV about her recent study showing that LGBTQ+ young adults face suicide-related risks two to five times higher than their counterparts.
"LGBTQ young adults face more barriers to safety, to stability, and to a sense of belonging during this critical life stage, which means that we have an opportunity to address those barriers and to remove those barriers and implement practices and policies that foster safety, that foster stability and a sense of belonging and connection for all young adults,” she said.
