Shanna Kattari Featured in Wallethub’s Best and Worst U.S. Cities for People with Disabilities

Associate Professor Shanna Kattari spoke with Wallethub as part of their panel of experts in their ranking of the best and worst U.S. cities for people with disabilities. Kattari was asked about the challenges individuals face, how policies can make a difference and what improvements are needed. 

“While the ADA was incredible and so needed when it was adopted, what many people do not realize is that it neither has funding nor teeth. What this means is that if somewhere is inaccessible, like an older building, the ADA does not come with any funds to add access.”
