Associate Professor Kristin Seefeldt spoke with Marketwatch about the latest Census Bureau data, released earlier this month. While the data shows income stability and even a slight rise in income for most families, economists are concerned that these numbers are not enough to offset the increasing prices and growing debts that most Americans face. "I don’t think it shows a story of getting ahead, unless you were already ahead to begin with," said Seefeldt. "It’s not capturing the day-to-day realities that face folks."
