Abigail H Eiler

Abigail Eiler, MSW '06, is a licensed clinical social worker and educator with 20 years of experience working in tribal and non-tribal communities across the country and in Canada. In 2014, Eiler started as a LEO Lecturer at the University of Michigan School of Social Work and joined the governing faculty in May 2018 as a clinical assistant professor. She was promoted to clinical associate professor in September 2023 and became the Director of Undergraduate Minor Programs in August 2023.

My research aims to increase access to mental health services for underserved, economically disadvantaged individuals and families living in rural communities. As an intervention and services researcher, I seek to develop and test innovative approaches for adapting, translating, and disseminating evidence-based treatment to increase the accessibility, acceptability, and sustainability of mental health care in rural communities.

Aimee Miller, MSW ‘03 is a bilingual licensed social worker with expertise in evaluating and treating a wide range of mental health issues in traditional and non-traditional social work settings. Miller has extensive experience working with survivors of domestic violence, veterans, geriatric and immigrant populations in both clinical and program development roles.
Aimée M Vantine

Aimee Vantine joined the Office of Field Education as field faculty and a LEO lecturer in spring 2021. Prior to this, she spent 23 years at Michigan Medicine working in a variety of clinical and macro positions with a primary focus on pediatrics and obstetrics. She was the Children’s and Women’s Bereavement Program Manager at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital at Michigan Medicine for five years and, prior to this, was the Pediatrics and Obstetrics Social Work Supervisor.

Amber Williams

Amber Williams, MA, MSW '16, is a doctoral student in the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education in the U-M School of Education. Williams' previous work focuses on social justice education through dialogic facilitation, in addition to student leadership development through campus activism, multicultural affairs and service learning. Her most recent work explores innovative academic and co-curricular initiatives that foster student engagement in community organizing and social justice.
Amy C Burandt

Amy C. Burandt (she / hers) joined the Office of Field Education team on March 15, 2021. Prior to coming on-board at the School of Social Work, her career focused on crisis intervention and suicide prevention, counseling individuals healing from trauma and sexual violence, mental health counseling and creating plans for resiliency and self-care for those in the mental health field. She served as a field instructor for the University of Michigan MSW Program for 14 years. In that time, she also created and managed an internship training program for over a decade.
