Measuring the State of Housing - Event Agenda and Speakers

Proudly Sponsored By:

  • Ford Foundation
  • Detroit Regional Housing Partnership

Project Overview

Detroit has a complex housing ecosystem, yet policymakers and funders consistently find supply/demand, market, and inventory data hard to source and reference when making critical decisions.

The Annual State of Housing Report aims to solve for that challenge by convening and collaborating with key organizations that hold and publish critical housing data. Through generous support from the Ford Foundation, over the next nine months this project will bring together stakeholders in Detroit housing to share and visualize data so policymakers, developers, residents, and more can have a shared understanding of the issues facing the city.

Housing Information Portal

A digital map of Detroit, Michigan displayed in the Housing Information Portal interface. The map highlights neighborhoods such as Midtown, Corktown, New Center, and Greektown, with a search panel overlay allowing users to select or draw a location, use their current location, or search for an address to view housing data.

Data Driven Detroit’s excelling Housing Information Portal curates a wealth of information that will serve as inspiration for the resource this partnership will pilot in the coming months.
