    Child and Adolescent Data Lab Published in Social Work Research

    The Child and Adolescent Data Lab's article, "Disparities at Adjudication in the Juvenile Justice System: An Examination of Race, Gender, and Age" was published in Social Work Research. The lab includes PhD student Michael Evangelist, Associate Professors Joe Ryan and Brian Perron, research associate Bryan Victor, and data analyst Andrew Moore.

    Three alumni honored with SSW Distinguished Alumni Awards

    Three School of Social Work alumni were presented Distinguished Alumni Awards at the SSW All-Class Reunion Lunch on Friday, October 27, 2017.

    The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes School of Social Work alumni whose achievements exemplify the values of the School of Social Work and who have made an exceptional impact on the profession, the community and/or Social Work education.

    Chatters, Delva, Taylor and Tolman Selected as Fellows of American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare

    Professors Linda Chatters, Jorge Delva, Robert Taylor and Richard Tolman were selected as Fellows of the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare. They will be inducted into the Academy in January at the 2018 Society for Social Work and Research Annual Conference in Washington, DC.

    Associate Professor Trina Shanks was honored with the 2017 Carol Hollenshead Award for Excellence in Promoting Equity and Social Change at the Center for the Education of Women's symposium, "The Spectrum of Advocacy & Activism: Finding Your Voice." Awardees are faculty whose sustained efforts have resulted in greater equity in regard to gender, race, class, age, disability, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
