Serving on the staff engagement committee allows me to work with colleagues across the School to create opportunities for staff to build relationships with each other. We do this through sharing staff accomplishments, connecting over coffee and bagels, and celebrating at the end of each semester at the End of Term party!
I also have the honor of creating connections between our alumni and the School. Our alumni are doing incredible things, and it is inspiring to see them actively connect with us. Alumni share their career updates and talk with students about career pathways. They also attend events such as the Social Work Month Celebration and Homecoming, which celebrate social work as a profession and their time at the School.
