This past fall, I had the opportunity to teach an environmental justice class, in which I collaborated with the Detroit Hamtramck Coalition for Advancing Health Environments. Together, we aimed to support the development of public materials that promote healthy environments. As part of the course, students engaged in various creative projects, such as writing children’s books, creating games and developing community-focused workbooks. These initiatives were closely tied to ongoing community partnership work, reinforcing our commitment to making a positive impact.
