ENGAGE hosts Community Engagement Showcases for the school to uplift and highlight the amazing work that students, staff, and faculty are doing in communities.

The event features short presentations on participants’ community engagement projects, highlighting the work, their role, and the impact on the community. Attendees are encouraged to connect to the work and to explore ways of engaging with the community-based organizations in the future.

This event is a community-focused event that allows for networking with social work students, faculty, and staff, as well as community partner organization leaders.

2023 Community Engagement Showcase

The ENGAGE team hosted a Community Engagement Showcase event on November 15, 2023, at the School of Social Work building. The event featured impactful work that students, staff, and faculty are doing in communities. Short presentations on their community engagement projects were featured.

2022 Community Engagement Showcase

The ENGAGE team hosted a Community Engagement Showcase event on March 11th at the School of Social Work featuring impactful community engagement work that students, staff, and faculty are doing in partnership with community based organizations in communities.

2019 Community Engagement Showcase

The ENGAGE team hosted a Student Showcase event at the University of Michigan Detroit Center featuring a variety of student projects that partnered with local community-based organizations.
