Message from the Deans - a Tragic Loss

Dear SSW Community:
We are grief-stricken by the recent shooting of three Muslim students in North Carolina. The shootings and violence have left us deeply saddened. This tragic shooting also creates a sense of vulnerability for all of us, especially members of the Muslim community. SSW extends our support and solidarity to the Muslim student community on our own campus, and we send our support and condolences to the North Carolina Muslim community and the families of the three students, Deah Shaddy Barakat, Yusor Mohammad, and Yusor's sister, Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha.
Let us show kindness and understanding to those around us. U-M Counseling and Psychological Services has a new web page that provides information and services for students who are struggling with navigating our complex and sometimes cruel world.
Our hope comes from all the passionate energy that draws SSW students to both respond to individual situations and to create a better world.
