I advocate for truly transdisciplinary approaches to cancer care and research at the U-M Rogel Cancer Center and throughout the United States. Achieving transdisciplinarity demands focused efforts to build trust within institutions, foster collaboration across various disciplines, engage with communities, and involve cancer patients and their families in the development of programs and policies. Additionally, it requires allocating resources to facilitate the transformation of the health system.
