During the Society for Social Work and Research Annual Meeting, I hosted a national listening session and call to action titled “Movement on Black Men’s Mental Health: Building a community, Building Care, Building Change.” We brought together pastors and community organizations from Detroit and Washington, D.C., to discuss Black men’s mental health at the historic Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. This ongoing research project grew out of an ENGAGE-DURC grant.
