As a Joint PhD student, you will be a member of a select group of outstanding scholars and researchers who study, collaborate and work in an interdisciplinary environment. Joint PhD students earn a degree in Social Work and select a second PhD in one of five social science fields. Joint PhD students reflect the populations they serve and address society’s challenging issues through scientifically rigorous social and behavioral research.
