Goal

Provice supportive services to School of Social Work students to promote wellness, self-care and the maintenance of a healthy school-life balance.

Objective

Improve your understanding of health and mental health service options on campus, expand the number of activities to address stress, improve coordination with outside offices and health-related entities, and provide services for students with disabilities and/or mental health concerns as a means to support academic success.

Campus Health & Wellness Resources

  • University Health Service (UHS)
    Campus health and wellness resource, offering comprehensive clinical services and support for your well-being. Most services are free for currently enrolled U-M students.
  • Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
    Supports the psychological development and emotional well-being of students through counseling and psychotherapy, preventive and educational programming, consultation and outreach, as well as contributions to the mental health professions.
  • Sexual Assualt Prevention and Awareness Center (SAPAC)
    Provides free and confidential crisis intervention, advocacy, and support for survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking and sexual harassment who are University of Michigan students, faculty and staff.
  • Spectrum Center
    Provides programs, educational opportunities, and resources for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students, faculty, staff and friends.
  • Student Veteran & Military Services
    Helps students make the transition from active military duty to U-M and from U-M to active military duty.
  • Student Food Coop/Maize and Blue Cupboard
    Student organization providing locally sourced food.
  • Stress Management Resources
    A collection of local and national stress management, health, and depression resources.
