Simulated Clinician Assessment for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Skills - Year 4 Supplemental Funding

University of Michigan In Year 4 of the study, the UM team will provide their expertise to SIMmersion to evaluate real world usefulness of the web-based, Virtual Client Sessions- Assessment for Core CBT Skills (VCS-ACCS) tool with practicing clinicians to examine the feasibility and scalability of the tool as a method to establish mental health counselor competence in delivering CBT for anxiety disorders. The UM team will lead the recruitment, enrollment, and data collection of 300 research participants including clinicians and clinical trainees to complete the simulations, focus group participants including clinical and program-level decision makers, and a series of self-report assessment surveys to validate if the assessment accurately assesses CBT skills.
