Classification: Full-time employment; nonexempt

Reports To: Vice President

Summary: The digital strategist is responsible for researching, analyzing, writing, proposing, and implementing plans that result in an exceptional digital presence for the firm and its clients. This work takes place across many content disciplines housed within a dynamic, collegial, and growing marketing and communications practice.

Essential Duties

  • Proactively engage clients and partners related to digital marketing initiatives as the primary liaison
  • Ensure that the process and implementation of a digital experience is aligned with the overall strategy to produce measurable results
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual products and services for Public Sector Consultants (PSC) and its clients
  • Collect and analyze data to inform decisions that improve the performance of digital assets for and across platforms
  • Cultivate new business by identifying project opportunities and potential clients, meeting with prospects and clients, and writing proposals
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, including directing the scope of work, collaborating with team members to complete project tasks, and managing client expectations, resulting in high-quality project deliverables completed on time and on budget

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of work experience and education; master’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of five years of relevant work experience is required
  • Strong competency with Google Analytics, WordPress, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, HTML email services, Google AdWords, Bing interfaces, and other digital platforms
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
  • Demonstrated experience performing comparable duties
  • Knowledge of and interest in public policy, government, or social causes that help people improve their quality of life

Work Environment

  • Work is primarily performed in an indoor, environmentally controlled office setting with extended periods (approximately eight hours or more a day) at a computer, on the telephone, sitting, or standing. The nature of the work has frequent interruptions, contact with the public and clients, performance of repetitive tasks, and requires strong communication skills. While the employee may be required to work beyond normal working hours, PSC strives for staff to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
