Section 4.02.02: Field Instructor Qualifications
Field Instructors must have a minimum of 2 years post‐MSW experience to meet the standards of the Council on Social Work Education. In addition, Field Instructors must be licensed master social workers (LMSW) for clinical and/or macro practice. The state law requires that you are licensed in order to identify yourself as a social worker. The Field Instructor’s ability to create a positive teaching relationship with students is critical to the students’ success.
