Section 4.01.05: Field Faculty Roles
The field faculty’s goal is to provide support and advocacy for all parties involved in field education. Field education is an active partnership between the school, the student, and the fieldwork site. Field faculty function in the following roles:
• “Owns” the fieldwork site and facilitates all placements
• Provides continuity with students and the site for the duration of the field placement. Visits students at the
fieldwork sites once per term or more if needed
• Teaches the Foundation Field Education Seminar for first year students
