Prem K. Pahwa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist in Chicago. He received his Master of Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago, and his Certificate in Sex Therapy from the University of Michigan. Prem is the Director of the Sexual Health Certificate Program and a SSW Leo Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Prem currently serves on the Society for Sex Therapy and Research (SSTAR) Board of Directors as the Membership Officer and previously served on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), as the Professional Education Steering Committee (PESC) Chair. He is a clinician in private practice specializing in working with sexual health. Prem is the former Director of Youth Services for Chicago’s LGBT Community Center, and has consulted with several not for profit organizations around homeless youth, domestic violence, and HIV/AIDs. Additionally, Prem was a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at DePaul University for ten years.
