Please join Dean Lynn Videka,Tim Colenback, Assistant Dean for Student Services, Dan Fischer, Assistant Dean of Field Education, Lorraine Gutiérrez, Director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program, Barb Hiltz, MSW Program Director and Mary Ruffolo, Associate Dean for Educational Programs at the new monthly Deans' Drop In Sessions for MSW students. The purpose of this session is for the leadership team to hear directly about your experiences and priorities.

SSW #SocialJusticeMatters: Invisible Identities

Invisible Identities is an event hosted by the Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion and international students at the School of Social Work, sponsored by the Office of Student Services. This event strives to get individual’s voices heard regarding their experiences of being misidentified. Many people are quick to assume someone is white, able bodied, straight, or many other visible identities, when in fact they do not identify as that. Come join our team as students share their experiences and learn how to not be so quick to identify someone. Lunch will be provided.

SSW Career Services Alumni Lunch Series with Jonathan Stern, School Social Worker at Pioneer High School

Come to have lunch, learn about an alum's exciting career and network. Jonathan Stern, a 1984 graduate of the School of Social Work, is currently working as a school social worker with the Ann Arbor Public Schools as he has for the past 24 years, the last 14 at Pioneer High School. Jonathan has worked in Child Welfare in Detroit and has done program evaluation research and has served on the Alumni Relations Committee and the Executive Committee of the Alumni Board of Governors.
There will be lunch provided at the event. If you have any dietary restrictions please include those in the accomodations box.
