  1. Budgeting and Fiscal Management

    September 23, 2017 - 9:00am to 5:00pm

    This mini-course focuses on four areas of budgeting and financial management types and functions of budgets and their calculation and display, budget tracking and strategic indicators, the concept of the Professional Unit Method of Analysis and its calculation and application, and the total compensation approach to compensation for retention.

  7. Global Independent Study Info Session

    September 27, 2017 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

    This session is intended for incoming MSW students interested in Global Independent Study; a student-initiated opportunity that allows students to travel abroad. When abroad, students engage with a topic of their choosing while working with a faculty instructor. Students from all practice methods, areas and curriculum tracks are eligible to apply and will receive 1-6 elective credits. 

    We will have a panel of returned global independent study students share about what they did this past summer, where they went, and their overall experience. An overview of the application process will also be provided. Then we will open it up for questions from interested students.

  8. MSW Prospective Student Information Session

    September 28, 2017 - 3:00pm to 4:00pm

    This session will provide the opportunity to learn more about the University of Michigan School of Social Work MSW program. Topics covered will include: Curriculum Options, Dual Degree Programs, Application Process, Financial Aid, and more.

  9. SSW Town Hall

    September 28, 2017 - 5:30pm to 7:30pm

    Join us for the first of many School of Social Work town halls. There is a lot of forward momentum at the School right now - issues being tackled and changes being made. It can be hard to keep up with it all. Town halls are a way for MSW students to hear what is happening at the School, to ask questions, and to find out how to engage so your voice is heard. We will be joined by the Office of the Associate Dean, the Office of Student Services, the Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion, the Office of Field Instruction, and the Student Union.
