  1. Two-Way Street to Safe Communities: Law Enforcement and Social Work

    June 25, 2021 - 9:00am to 12:00pm

Interprofessional education involves the ability to work with other professionals, gaining an understanding of roles, developing relationships, and increasing effective communication to achieve goals that support community members. Social concerns about the safety of communities have led to a reimagining of the ways professionals work together to advance social justice. This workshop attempts to have initial exposure and preparation for collaboration between law enforcement and social work professionals.

  4. Community Conversation - Navigating Student Disability Services

    June 30, 2021 - 4:00pm to 5:00pm

We invite you to a community conversation about Navigating Student Disability Services. This conversation is to give students the opportunity to have dialogue about navigating the disability services in this current time and to check-in.

This is a time for conversation - ask questions, raise concerns, and talk together as a school community. To aid the conversation, space will be limited. (We know it's coming up soon, so if you miss it, don't fear it! If there is a lot of interest in this topic, we can hold another session soon.)

About the format. A few students and faculty have decided to try something different - smaller community conversations. Our hope is that this can take topics that lend themselves better to verbal dialogue off of email and face-to-face (or screen-to-screen!) environment. We will draw heavily on practices from intergroup dialogue and restorative justice.
