This seminar presents and discusses research exemplifying the goals of the Doctoral Program, ethical issues and current concerns in social work, and different practice, policy, and disciplinary perspectives; it also provides opportunities for the development of supportive relationships among students. Students will be introduced to ongoing faculty research relevant to the improvement of social work practice and social welfare programs and policies and to the integration of the theories, methods and knowledge of social work and the social sciences.
